One-2-One LEADERSHIP PREP

Being the new person in a new role can be challenging regardless of the position. But for those of us who decide to pursue a career in the world of downtown development, this truth can feel especially real. Every Main Street or Downtown Development Authority director, manager, or support staff is in a unique position to be accountable to everyone and anyone. I know from personal experience that this much responsibility can leave you feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, increasing your chances of feeling job burnout.

However, this job does get easier with time and support. That’s where my One-2-One Leadership Prep series comes into play. This course will create an intimate leadership coaching experience for managers and staff who have been on the job for four years or less. Through a series of activities, small group discussions, and learning exercises, participants will gain valuable skills in establishing boundaries, playing to their strengths, building a support system, and feeling empowered by their decisions, in a small group setting.

2022 LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

Taking place over three days, this workshop will feature presentations, small breakouts, facilitated activities, and group discussions, each led by a member of the Office of Downtown Development staff. Our staff has been certified to teach John Maxwell’s 5 levels of leadership and is excited for the opportunity to guide you on this exciting journey.

State of the Program Webinar

Join us on Thursday, March 17th as we celebrate all things Irish and all things Main Street! In lieu of our traditional Third Thursday zoom session, we will be utilizing the GoToWebinar platform to deliver our 7th annual State of the Program presentation.

During this presentation, we will reflect on the impacts and changes facing our downtowns over the last year. Highlighting emerging trends, sharing insights into Manager’s salaries, budgets, and programming, as well as some of the exciting things to come in 2022.
